Google Chrome Offline Installer

Google Chrome Dev has now released a new version 5.0.375.17 Dev. There were several changes made to improve the performance of Chrome. To install the latest dev version, please access Dev channel here. You can also directly download the New Offline Install for Windows here.

Google Chrome releases updates to different release channels. There are three release channels: Stable channel (Everyone is on the Stable channel when they first install Google Chrome), Beta channel (People who like to use and help refine the latest features subscribe to the Beta channel) and Dev channel (This developer preview channel is where ideas get tested).

The latest Dev channel updates:

  • Flash enabled by default
  • Implement patterns for content setting exceptions.
  • A nicer looking video scaling algorithm is now used
  • Disabled profile based Autofill (this will return in a future release)
  • Various UI features related to the url bar/ omnibox have been removed from this release (e.g. http:// truncation, star icon, etc...)
  • Various crash fixes

I urge you most emphatically to address the issue that in the latest stable release of Google Chrome, it is impossible to play videos from about 90 per cent of the websites...NPR, HULU, Democracy Now, PBS, et.

I have submitted many, many page notifications about this and I do hope it can be fixed.

Currently using Opera 10 as it is trouble free and much faster, but want my Chrome back.

Thank you,

Duncan Saunders
