PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves 'important' weigh more heavily and help to make other pages 'important

How would a pagerank prediction feature work? How could it tell not only the total juice coming in, but also the juice required for each pr by google?

I am using a Win2k machine after trying xp, me and 98.I think Win2k is one of the stable release from Microsoft.I have also installed Google Chrome and a zip file to make it work and it works!

How did you install Chrome on W2K? Most info I have found on this indicates that people are not having much luck. Do you have a link to a download and some instructions?

Thanks for listening.

I have that same problem too, needing to synch bookmarks across multiple machines. Until Google effectively solves this problem (if they ever address it at all), I'm going to export my Google Chrome bookmarks, import them into Firefox on my respective machines, then run Foxmarks, which synchs bookmarks btwn Firefox browser installations. Then, final step, import the (synched) bookmarks file from Firefox into Chrome.
Chrome -->Firefox/foxmarks -->Chrome
A little cumbersome, and a maintenance step I don't want to do more than once a month, but it will (finally!) get the job done. I'm tired of living in scattered data chaos. Can't find anything I've bookmarked and don't remember what's on what machine. Grrr.

Gotta love that Firefox winning formula. See what Opera does...then do exactly that. For a moment I thought Firefox was innovating with its "awesome bar" and even read several books on this problem ( http://www.ebook-search-queen.com/ ) But upon inspection, I found that typing "awesome bar" in opera displays...this page.
