It's STILL blocking it! A message keeps saying GoogleUpdate.exe is attempting to connect to a DNS server and I allow it, but it keeps popping up and it keeps me from downloading!!! HELP!

I suggest you disable the Firewall software temporarily

I had no problems installing Chrome onto Win2K. It was rather easy and painless. Just follow the instructions in the article from NSpeaks, and you should be set and using the browser. Just remember to reboot after you make the adjustments before installing Chrome.

It's not working well. I get N/A or PageRank:ad for most urls i visit.
Andrew replied on Aug 15, 2009 18:45 PDT:
Hi Katalok, I have noticed this problem. "PageRank: ad" means that Google blocked our request. I will fix this problem ASAP.

Thanks soooo much for this Google PR tool. Now I have absolutely no reason to ever open up IE 8 again! Nice stop gap measure until Google gets up to speed with Chrome.

It won't let me open the .crx file, though I've added the text to the target box like you said.

Any ideas?

While this is neat, as a webmaster I still prefer to use Firefox for these sorts of tasks.

You may be interested in trying an alternative Chrome extension for viewing websites PageRank:

I really wish Chrome had some plugins. I love the lightweight nature of the browser but with no plugins its almost unusable for me.

Finally, I found a tool like this! Thanks! This is one of the things I have been looking for since I noticed that Firefox and Flock are slower than Chrome, but I still use them because of the toolbars. Now I can just use Chrome.
